Monday 25 November

ICS Meeting - WP2 & WP3 Boundaries Discussion

Meeting to sync on WP competencies and make the boundary between WPs more clear.

Leandro will prepare introductory presentation.

ESS and ICS Motion control

The current status of motion control will be discussed, focusing on:
- GeoBrick integration status
- PLC solutions
- ECCTD requirements and status
- LLRF status

Physics Core Status Report

• Introduction to the Physics Core WP and High Level Applications.
• Status update on the work done in OpenXAL, mostly model and lattice export from database.

Expected attendees: OpenXAL stakeholders and ICS members. Meeting is open to anyone interested in OpenXAL.

Data-on-demand proof of concept kick-off

Triggered data acquisition has been discussed a lot at ESS, but no concrete next steps were done.
At the meeting, the main requirements and use cases will be shown and a proof-of-concept setup presented and (hopefully) agreed.

MATLAB Middle Layer

Nominal Device Support and Integration workflow

Presentation about a uniform middle layer between device driver and EPICS application for data acquisition devices. An introductory presentation to Thursday workshop.

Goal: identify interface and requirements regarding High level apps and Physics Apps.

Timing system demo

The 2013 timing system demo setup is shown and the functionality demonstrated, including the uTCA receiver solution.

Goal: Identify interfaces and requirements regarding OpenXAL, physics models and high level applications

High Level Applications Example - Timing Application

Miki will present a mock-up of Timing Sequence editor application. The idea behind the presentation is to demonstrate to potential stakeholders how a specialized HL application looks like and what are its interfaces to the rest of ICS.
