Description

T‑REX is a polarised bi‑spectral direct geometry chopper spectrometer at the ESS, built jointly by the Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ) in Germany and the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) in Italy. T-REX is primarily designed to serve the magnetism, soft matter, and functional materials communities through INS and QENS measurements, with the option to perform polarised measurements.

This workshop, held in Perugia, is aimed at early prospective T‑REX users, providing an opportunity to present and discuss scientific questions and early science cases that could be addressed with T‑REX. Participants are invited to share what they would like, and would not like, to do on the instrument, helping to shape the first experiments and establish best practices for the instrument.
