Description
This is a proposal for a new CA connection method with avoids broadcasts.
Sometimes one well known client (e.g. the archiver) needs to connect to a large number of PVs on many IOCs. Now instead of the client looking for PVs, the IOCs could contact the client at startup. After that the usual monitor subscription mechanism could be used to transfer the data.
This not only reduces broadcast traffic, in particular when an IOC goes offline, but also removes the need for a separate PV list configuration on the client.
