We cordially invite you to the European Spallation Source ERIC Plate Celebration in the morning of
8th September 2015 in Lund.
On this day the achievement of establishing the European Spallation Source ERIC will be celebrated by receiving the ERIC Plate from Robert-Jan Smits, Director-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission.
The ceremony will be an occasion to highlight the strong commitment of the ESS stakeholder countries, including the ERIC founding members and observers. The celebration will demonstrate the European Union’s commitment and support for the European Spallation Source and acknowledge ESS’ relevance as the largest project on the ESFRI Road Map. The event will mark another major milestone for ESS.
The programme will commence at 10:00 at the ESS construction site and finish at 13:00 following a light lunch. A detailed programme is available in the menu to the left.
We look forward to celebrating this historic event with you, representatives of the ESS Governance Committees, and the ESS host ministers. We also ask that you extend this invitation to the leadership of your respective ministries and the partner institutions that worked together to advance ESS and the European Spallation Source ERIC.
