Data Controller
The RITIFI project consortium is responsible for collecting data for the duration of the project. The European Spallation Source ERIC (ESS ERIC) (ritifi.communication@ess.eu), as a member of the RITIFI project consortium, is the Data Controller responsible for processing the personal data you provide when registering for this webinar.
Data Protection and Usage
The RITIFI Project Consortium including the European Spallation Source ERIC will implement appropriate security measures to ensure the protection of your personal data. The data you provide for and during the RITIFI Project Webinar on Biomedical Area will be collected and processed exclusivflexely for communication and promotional purposes. These purposes include:
- The project website, social media channels, and digital communications materials, including advertising material and printed publications.
- News media and their associated websites, social media channels, print publications, television, and radio.
- Presentation and exhibition materials.
- Publicity and promotional materials, including advertising material and printed publications.
Your data will be stored securely on RITIFI project servers and may be shared with third-party organizations as required to fulfill the purposes described above (e.g., providing images or materials to design/print agencies). Appropriate measures will be taken to ensure that any third-party recipients maintain adequate levels of data protection.
Data Retention
Your data will be retained for a period of four years. Images, footage, or other personal data not used for publicity or marketing purposes within this timeframe will be deleted. Once published, materials may be publicly accessible and could be used by third parties beyond the direct control of ESS ERIC. However, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that all initial uses align with GDPR compliance.
Rights and Consent Withdrawal
You have the right to access, update, or delete your data and withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at ritifi.communication@ess.eu. Withdrawal of consent will not affect materials already published.

Consent Declaration
When completing the registration for participation in the event, you will be asked if you have read the Data Protection and Handling and if you accept the terms. By choosing "yes," you agree to the following:

- You agree to have your data processed, stored, and used in accordance with GDPR and Swedish Data Protection Laws.
- You consent to the use of your images, moving footage, audio, and personal data for the purposes listed above.
Your agreement ensures that the RITIFI project consortium and the European Spallation Source ERIC can proceed with the stated uses while maintaining compliance with applicable data protection regulations.
