Travelling from Copenhagen Airport to ESS
The easiest way to travel from Copenhagen Airport (CPH) to ESS is by train to Lund Central Station, followed by the tram from Lund C to ESS.
Trains are available from Copenhagen Airport and take you to Lund Central Station in approximately 35 minutes.
The airport train station is located below the main terminal, Terminal 3.
Tickets must be purchased in advance. It is not possible to buy tickets onboard the train.
You can purchase your ticket via the Skånetrafiken app or at the main ticket counter in Terminal 3.
If you purchase your ticket via the app, make sure to activate the ticket before starting your journey. The train ticket is also valid for the tram that will take you from Lund Central Station to ESS.
When travelling by train, please be prepared to show your ID or passport when crossing the border into Sweden.
All trains travelling to Lund go via Malmö. However, many trains display a different final destination, such as Göteborg, Kalmar, Helsingborg or Kristianstad.
Journey time: approximately 35 minutes
Trains are less frequent during the night.
The tram leaves Lund Central Station (Lund C) approximately every 10 minutes during peak times and has ESS as its final destination.
The journey takes approximately 15 minutes. You will find the tram stop just across the street from Lund Central Station.
You can purchase your tram ticket by tapping your credit card onboard the tram.
If you return later the same day and tap your card again, it automatically creates a 24-hour ticket, allowing you to travel throughout the day.
