Description
The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) has identified data analysis and management as a key priority and is going to devote 45 years of additional full-time-equivalent man power to that purpose in the 2016-2022 period.
Among the expected deliverables, there is a set of tools to simplify development and maintenance of scientific applications. The silx toolkit (www.silx.org) tries to achieve that goal. This contribution presents its current status. Well-known ESRF applications like FabIO, pyFAI nad PyMca are expected to base their graphical user interfaces on this library in order to reduce and to share maintenance efforts
