How to get to Building 305

From Nørreport Station

In order to get to the DMSC offices from Nørreport Station, we suggest you to take bus 150S or 15E from Nørreport Station and get off at the Rævehøjvej, DTU stop on Helsingørmotorvejen

Building 305 is located 15 minutes walk away from the bus stop, as you can see from the following map:

The main entrance to building 305 is located on the upper level as indicated in the map:

The buses leave every 5-10 minutes and the journey takes about 25 minutes to the Rævehøjvej, DTU stop, depending on traffic. The bus stop at Nørreport Station is located next to the traffic lights at the intersection of Nørre Voldgade and Gothersgade (see map)

From Copenhagen Central Station

Construction work is under way on the tracks for the S-tog (S-train) line to Lyngby station.
It is not possible to reach Lyngby station by S-train.

We recommend to take the S-tog (S-train) line A, B, Bx, C, E or H from platforms 9 or 10 in Copenhagen Central Station. Please check the monitors in the station for the correct platform.
Ride the train to Nørreport Station (5 minutes) and then follow the instructions from Nørreport Station available in the previous section. 

S-tog trains runs approximately every 5-10 minutes during the day, Every half-hour late during the night until midnight.

What to do upon arrival

Head straight to the DMSC reception desk on the 1st floor (see map below). You’ll receive your name tag and any additional information you may need. 

VISA requirements

If your visit to Denmark requires a VISA, it is your responsibility to request one.

Be aware that there might be waiting time to get a Schengen Visa. Therefore it is recommended that you register well in advance and apply for your visa.

Invitation letters will be sent upon request only. Please send requests to organizers and include your name, affiliation, mailing address, and email address. Letters will be sent electronically, unless a paper copy is requested.

Transport in CPH: Rush hour between 07:00-09:00 in the morning and 15:30-17:30 in the afternoon

Tickets: 

  • Travelling from/to the airport?
    You will need a 3 zone ticket. 3 zones adult ticket is 30 DKK (approx. 4 EUR)
  • Travelling in the city? 
    You will need a 2 zone ticket. 2 zones adult ticket is 24 DKK (approx. 3 EUR)
  • Travelling to/from Lyngby? 
    You will need a 5 zone ticket. 5 zones adult ticket is 44 DKK (approx. 6 EUR)

You can purchase tickets from the machines at all the metro and train stations. They accept Danish cash and the most common credit cards. If you are travelling by bus, you can buy tickets from the bus drivers but ONLY WITH CASH (preferably small change). 

We recommend to download and use the app DOT Tickets.

Tickets cover bus, metro and S-togs (S-trains).

  • Taxi EU: order or pre-book; pay through the app or after the ride, using cash or card
  • Donkey Republic: bike-share; bright orange bikes all around the city

Currency and credit cards:
The currency in Denmark is Danish Kroner (DKK). One euro is equivalent to approx. 7,5 Danish kroner. The most common credit card in Copenhagen is VISA, but you should have no problem finding ATMs/cash machines that accept Mastercard and American Express as well. Bring your PIN code.

These are the most common opening hours:

  • Monday - Thursday 10:00 - 18:00
  • Friday 10:00 - 19:00
  • Saturday 10:00 - 16:00
  • Sunday 12:00 - 16:00

Weather: The average temperatures at the end of August in Copenhagen are: day 20 Celsius/night 13-15 Celsius.

Emergency: In case of an emergency while you are in Copenhagen, always dial 112. It is a free call which will connect you to the police, fire brigade or hospital.
