Getting to Copenhagen
The easiest way to reach Copenhagen is by flying to Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup Airport). The airport is located approximately 15 minutes from the city centre by metro.
If you are travelling by train, you will typically arrive at either:
- Copenhagen Central Station (København H)
- Nørreport Station
Summer School Location
The Summer School will take place at the new DMSC offices at Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Lyngby, Denmark.
The field trip will include a visit to European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden.

Currency and Payments
The currency in Denmark is the Danish Krone (DKK).
Approximate exchange rate:
- 1 EUR ≈ 7.5 DKK
VISA is the most commonly accepted credit card, though Mastercard and American Express are also widely accepted.
ATMs are readily available throughout Copenhagen. Remember to bring your PIN code.
