Information about the venue

The workshop will be held in Perugia over the two days.

Day 1 will be held in the historic city centre at Isola San Lorenzo, a unique cultural venue located in the heart of medieval Perugia, just a few steps from the main square and the city’s major landmarks.

Day 2 will take place at the Department of Physics and Geology – University of Perugia, part of the University of Perugia scientific campus. 

Further logistical information and directions will be provided to participants before the event.

How to get to Perugia

Perugia is located in central Italy and is well connected by air, train, and road.

By Air
The nearest airport is Perugia San Francesco d’Assisi Airport (PEG), located about 15 km from the city center.

For more connections, you can fly to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). From this airport, you can reach Perugia by train, bus, or rental car. 

By Train
Perugia’s main railway station is Perugia Fontivegge railway station.
It is connected to major cities such as Rome and Florence (usually with one transfer).

By Bus
Long-distance buses connect Perugia to several Italian cities. This can be a convenient and affordable option.
