This year's annual meeting of the Swedish Neutron Scattering Society, SNSS will be held in Lund on 30th - 31st May.
The Swedish Neutron Scattering Society (http://snss.se) is a voluntary, non-profit organization of scientists working with neutron scattering and with the aim to promote and enlarge the community in particular in new areas of science. The ongoing construction of two major research facilities in Lund European Spallation Source (ESS) and the Max IV synchrotron are both central for advancing several scientific fields and also open up new opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Discussion Sessions
In addition to the talks and posters the meeting has two discussion sessions:
VR Strategy for Swedish Participation in and Hosting of ESS
The Swedish Research Council, Vetenskapsrådet, has recently published its strategy for Swedish participation in the construction and hosting of the European Spallation Source [1]. Leif Eriksson and Camilla Jakobsson from VR will present the strategy and take questions.

Community Interactions
This session will have presentations from two groups: the Materials Business Center - a consortium looking at what provision for laboratory services will be required by ESS and MaxIV outside those that the facilities are providing themselves; and BrightnESS - a Horizon2020 funded project at ESS that in part aims to build connections to the ESS stakeholder community.
