Description
The European Spallation Source (ESS) - the future world-leading neutron source, which is being built in Sweden and Denmark - is getting ready for construction. Germany has been a strong supporter of this project from the very beginning and has significantly contributed to the pre-construction phase and to the Technical Design Report. ESS is a greenfield European project and will rely on the expertise and know-how of German institutes and industry to be successful.
