IKON8 – The Eighth In-Kind Collaboration Meeting

For the first time, the IKON8 meeting will be co-organised by ESS and an in-kind partner, on this occasion the ISIS Facility.
The meeting will take place at Milton Hill House, Oxfordshire, UK (see under "Venue and Hotels" for details).
In the evening of February 3rd there will be a drinks reception to welcome the participants.
The first day (Wednesday 4/2) will be entirely dedicated to plenary talks on general ESS updates, lessons learned from ISIS and instrument and technology projects. On the second day you are invited to join in smaller groups for discussions on the integration in respect to neutron technologies, science support systems and data management and software with the teams from ESS, ISIS and other partners. Some of the discussions will take place at ISIS during an on-site tour inside the facility (see details under "ISIS Tour").
The tour will have a closed number of 80 participants, so please make sure that you register for it if you are interested!
Note that the scientific and technical advisory panels (STAPs) will meet the same week before, during and after the IKON meeting in the same place to evaluate the proposals received for this year’s proposal round. The corresponding STAPs and proposing teams will receive separate information about those meetings.
Also the Instruments Collaboration Board will meet after the IKON meeting (on Friday 6/2) to conclude on the steps needed to deliver the scope of the Neutron Scattering Systems project.
