8th Open Collaboration Meeting on Superconducting Linacs for High Power Proton Beams (SLHiPP-8)

Dear all We are happy to invite you to the 8th Open Collaboration Meeting on Superconducting Linacs for High Power Proton Beams (SLHiPP-8), which will take place at Ångström's laboratory in Uppsala, Sweden. The meeting will start at 09.00 on Tuesday the 12th of June, and finish around 5pm on the 13th. The day after, the 14th of June, we have our ACCSYS Technical Board mtg (separate invitation for TB members). Please register latest on May 21st. For accommodation I have pre-booked rooms at many different hotels in Uppsala City centre, from Monday 11th to Thursday 14th of June. You have to confirm your hotel room directly with the hotels. See more detailed info under the Accommodation tab on the left hand side. There will be a labtour at FREIA lab during the conference. The common dinner on Tuesday evening will take place at Gästrike-Hälsinge Nation, which is hosted by students, and the dinner is included in the registration fee. Wishing you most Welcome to Uppsala! 10:10 ESS Beam delivery on target

The Beam Delivery System of ESS relies on a system of triangular wave raster scanning dipole magnets that paints each 2.86 ms beam pulse transversely across the spallation target. The system operates at tens of kiloherz and moves the beam centroid in a Lissajous-like displacement pattern with a rectangular outline. The beam scanner system is currently in production, with a two-magnet pre-series having undergone site acceptance testing at Aarhus University. The talk will highlight system design choices and performance results.
